Friarly Vets is an equine practice founded in 2023 by lifelong equestrian Dr. Richard Jones BVSc MRCVS.
We provide an extensive array of services that includes stud medicine, equine dentistry, ultrasonography to name a few. Whether you have a defined objective or simply need good quality routine health care, Friarly Vets are here for you.
After graduating from LiverpooL University in 2020 Richard worked in mixed practice before undertaking an internship at Rainbow Equine Hospital in York, England. From here, he returned home and after working for Cotts Equine he started his own practice from Pantydefaid Farm, Llandysul.
As the 5th generation breeding ponies from the Menai&Friarly Studs, it’s not so surprising that Richard finds himself taking an interest in stud medicine. He enjoys all aspects of horse work - when he’s not treating your horses, he’s likely breaking in his own to ride.
